The shelter of Elly Bay is the perfect location to you to the thrills and spills of sailing! Get to grips with the basics, perfect those rolling tack and gybes and hang out on the trapeze in not only a stunning but a safe and controlled environment.

We maintain a strict ratios of 1:6 in our sailing classes as recommended by the Irish Sailing Association. Our practical sessions are supplemented by sessions ashore focusing on rigging and derigging, ropework, safety on the water. Returning students may have the opportunity to develop the skills after received their ‘Taste of Sailing’ or ‘Blas Seolta’ ISA certificates and work to achieve ‘Start Sailing’ , ‘Basic Skills’ and ‘Improving Skills’ certificates.
