Micky T, our local surfing and windsurfing hero, has been given the ‘Green' light to put his stamp/signature on one of our summer courses.

He has come to us with a plan which embraces what UISCE already has to offer and a few ingenious plans of his own. In his proposal as the Príomhoide’s right hand man, he has suggested that we provide a number of bonus activities on the Cúrsa Spraoi. We listened. So here’s 7 reasons why Micky T reckons that you should come on this course: (If you still need to convince your parents, there's some info for the grown-ups below)

	Scileanna Sorcais On this course you will be given the opportunity to become a maestro at a number of fun & enjoyable circus skills such as juggling, diabolo, and poi under the direction of our Ringmaster, Micky T and his able assistant Stiofán McGinly.
	Tógáil Foirne Micky T has planned a number of team building challenges throughout the course. Students will work in groups and try to win the most coveted prize in the Coláiste – ‘An Grúpa is Fearr’. There will be prizes given on the Oíche Dheirneach (last night of the course) for the effort made during the course. Coláiste UISCE certificates of excellence will also be presented to the students at the prize-giving.
	Cúrsa Tarrthála Micky T has always fancied the idea of being on the set of Home and Away. With this in mind he has collaborated with Muirtí Ó Cearnaigh from Atlantic Coast Lifguards to give you an introduction to Lifesaving and create our very own Summer Bay! You will learn the basic steps to save someone’s life. This is an invaluable skill to you as a water user!
	Cúrsa Drámaíochta Like all Coláiste UISCE courses there will be a drama competition toward the end of the course. This time however we have a professional drama coach to ensure that you shine on stage and create a masterpiece ‘As Gaeilge’. We hope to capture the magic on camera!
	Gaeilge Labhartha As always there will be an emphasis on improving your level of spoken Irish. Irish Teachers will achieve this through drama, music, debates and discussions in the classroom. Water sport instructors will achieve this through adventure activities and will be committed to the highest standards of spoken Irish.
	Siollabas Nua Coláiste UISCE is introducing a brand new syllabus on every course this summer. You will go home with a workbook that you can refer to again and again throughout the academic year. Although Micky T won’t be in the classroom he might sign your workbook if you ask him nicely!
	Dioscó Mór I Radio’s DJ Bairbre Nic Dhonncha will spin the decks ‘As Gaeilge’ with Micky T for the end of course disco. You will finish your Gaeltacht course on a high with this professional DJ. Bairbre is another fantastic example of someone who uses her Gaeilge for her career! See Irish isn’t so boring afterall!!
